Alytus
Alytus - one of the biggest town in the southern part of Lithunia. The town is situated on the Dzukija region on the Niemen river near the Belorussia and Polish border. It covers the area of 40 square km and has a population of 70 thousant (96% of Lithuania). There is a Textile Mill, Precast Building, Units Plant, Plant producing mechanized domestic appliances, Meat processing plant.
We started to co-operate together in 1995. Presently our co-operation goes to dynamic development.
In 2001 our contact was renewaled, the year after on 20th September we signed the contract. The document was signed by Mr. Arkadiusz Czartoryski - The President of Ostroleka and Ms. Maria Sokoll - Vice-President of Ostrołęka and Mr. Vytautas Kirkliauskas - Mer Miasta Alytus and Ms. Rasa Kazlauskiene - Vicemer.
